Yep, making a suggestion over the top of an existing verification is in essence endorsing and supporting the moderator's ID. From a platform perspective it is perfectly fine to do and doesn't take away from the quality of the record or the final state of the record that is sent to government data partners etc. The record remains in a verified state as per the most recent verification, which is Darcy's. I see this as Marcycad having given Darcy a pat on the back or a nod of "yep I concur!". Well done and thanks both of you.

Hi Darcy, I appreciate your message, but I respectfully have to disagree. I believe there is a need to reinforce an identification to a sighting as a means of strengthening the suggested species ID. You will undoubtedly find many examples on this platform, particularly with Xanthorrhoea, a genus of plants that can be extremely difficult to differentiate one species from another, where different users of this platform have applied a number of species to individual Xanthorrhoea sightings. 'Re-suggestion' can only be a positive thing in recognition of an individuals identification ability, would you not agree?

Fair enough, but you don't need to re-suggest the ID its already got, you can just leave a comment :)
