Possibly, but the leaves were generally longer than 5 cm and wider than 15 mm.
The stipules also appeared to be lanceolate.

Best to list as Eucalyptus sp. for now. If you return to the location then photos of additional features will be needed (buds, fruit, juvenile leaves) to identify accurately to the species. Would be good information to see a timeline of its recovery.
