Austropaxillus sp.

These fruitbodies have funnel shaped caps with inrolled margins and decurrent gills which are always forked.

They may be solitary or gregarious forming overlappong caespitose groups.

The caps are a brownish orange sometimes darkening to bronze and often have a scaley surface. While the forked decurrent gills are the same colour as the cap.

The stipe is attached eccentricaly and tappers downward.

Spore print is golden brown.
