Thanks - Gang-gangs enter hollows for a number of reasons - including to drink in water that can pool in them. This is the time that they prepare hollows for nesting which will begin in mid October - Great to have this sighting it will be a tree that I will check out in the breeding season - if you observe them at this site again would be great if you could also report this.
